Webster Memorial Hospital dedicates chapel to longtime board member Larry Lynch

WEBSTER SPRINGS — Webster Memorial Hospital (WMH) recently dedicated its chapel to Larry Lynch, a longtime board member whose dedication and service left a lasting impact on the hospital and its community. The dedication ceremony took place in the chapel on July 16.

“Larry was a pillar of our hospital,” said Bill Dempsey, Chief Administrative Officer of WMH. “He wasn’t just a board member, but also a constant presence, a tireless advocate, and a voice of reason that guided us through hard times.”

Lynch was a vital part of the WMH family for over 14 years. His contributions included the acquisition of a new CT scanner and the roof replacement project, among other vital hospital initiatives.

“Larry possessed a deep understanding of the needs of our patients and the challenges faced by our staff. He understood the importance of offering comfort and support to those in need, not just physically, but also emotionally and spiritually,” Dempsey added.

Staff, family, and friends gathered in the chapel to honor Lynch’s commitment to the hospital, the community, and its patients. The chapel, open to individuals of all faiths, offers a space for prayer, meditation, and quiet contemplation.

The dedication ceremony featured remarks from Dempsey, Gary Payne, and Shiela Adkins, who all shared memories of Lynch’s invaluable service.
