Mountain CAP Family Support Center & Mountain Mama Market FREE Family Painting Night
Looking for a fun, creative way to celebrate Halloween with the kids? On October 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Mountain CAP Family Support Center, in collaboration with Mountain Mama Market & Artistry, is hosting a FREE family painting night at 30 East Main Street. Participants will paint an 11×14 canvas and take home their very own spooky masterpiece! Space is limited to the first 18 registrants, so don’t wait. CAC Gallery Fall and Halloween Art Exhibit
The CAC Gallery is embracing the spooky spirit with a Halloween and Fall-themed art exhibit. From October 11 to November 2, the exhibit will be on display, showcasing local artists from Upshur County and the surrounding area. Don’t miss the Opening Reception on October 18 for a chance to meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and get a first look at some amazing seasonal artwork.
Children’s Halloween Concert by the Marching Bobcats
Something spooky is brewing at the WVWC Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts Center (or the PAC, for short)! On October 29 at 5:30 p.m., the Marching Bobcats will host their first-ever Children’s Halloween Concert. Come enjoy hauntingly fun music and a costume contest. Admission is free, and kids—be sure to come dressed up for extra treats and scary prizes!
Buckhannon Community Theatre Presents: ‘The Rocky Horror Show‘
Get ready for thrills, chills, and a time warp with Buckhannon Community Theatre’s production of The Rocky Horror Show! This cult classic promises to be a wild ride with performances on:

Trunk-or-Treat at the Public Safety Complex
Bring your little ghosts and goblins to the Public Safety Complex on October 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for some safe, family-friendly fun at the annual Trunk or Treat. Local organizations and businesses will be handing out candy from the trunks of their decorated vehicles, making it a memorable event for the whole family.
Trick-or-Treat in City Limits
Halloween night wouldn’t be complete without some trick-or-treating! Buckhannon’s official Trick or Treat will be held on October 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. within city limits. Make sure to bundle up, grab your flashlights, and prepare for a spooky night filled with candy and costumes.
