Vandalia Health’s Davis Medical Center is pleased to announce the arrival of baby boy Kian Lee Floyd Hornick, who made his appearance at 1:38 a.m. on Jan. 4.
Baby Kian was born weighing 6 pounds and 15 ounces and measured 19 1/2 inches. Welcomed by his mom Abrey Bressler and dad Brandon Hornick, Baby Kian is the first baby to be born at Davis Medical Center’s Family Birthing Center this year.
“We’re thrilled and couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2025,” Bressler said. “The care we received at Davis Medical Center has been amazing, and we’re so thankful to the entire team for making this moment so special.”
Dr. William Hamilton, OB/GYN, was on call at Davis Medical Center’s Family Birthing Center for the start of the new year and delivered Baby Kian.
“It’s always an honor to help welcome new life into the world,” said Dr. Hamilton. “Baby Kian represents hope and new beginnings and we’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone with his family.”
Baby Kian’s birth was celebrated with cheers from the hospital’s delivery team, who presented the family with a special “Baby New Year” gift basket.
