Free and discounted health screenings available at Pride in the Park event in Elkins

ELKINS — Free and discounted health screenings will be available at the Pride in the Park event on June 29 at Elkins City Park.

“It is important to have accessible healthcare for all members of our community,” said Dr. Catherine “Mindy” Chua, chief medical officer for Davis Medical Center. “We are happy to bring a variety of important screenings, and we are committed to inclusivity, diversity, and compassionate care for all.”

The event’s screenings will include Pap smears, STD testing, PreP prescriptions, wellness labs, and HIV, syphilis, and Hepatitis C testing.

Davis Medical Center, Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) Mobile Unit, and the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, among others, will provide testing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
