Beginning this month, area residents will notice an exciting new look on display as Davis Health System facilities unveil new signage and branding, officially transitioning to Vandalia Health.
The rebranding marks a significant step in integrating Davis Medical Center in Elkins, Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, and Webster Memorial Hospital in Webster Springs, under the Vandalia Health name—reinforcing a shared commitment to exceptional, patient-centered care across West Virginia. From updated facility signs and logos to refreshed patient materials and marketing, the transformation reflects a unified health system dedicated to enhancing access and quality care.
The rebranding officially changes the following facility names to align with Vandalia Health’s statewide identity:
- Davis Medical Center is now Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center.
- Broaddus Hospital is now Vandalia Health Broaddus Hospital.
- Webster Memorial Hospital is now Vandalia Health Webster Memorial Hospital.

Vandalia Health was formed in 2022, bringing together West Virginia’s CAMC and Mon Health systems. Since then, Vandalia Health has continued to grow, adding several hospitals and Davis Health System. The Vandalia name draws on the region’s history. In the 1700s, the British gave the name “Vandalia” to parts of Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Pennsylvania. Vandalia Health now operates hospitals, outpatient offices and telemedicine centers across West Virginia as well as parts of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Ohio.

As West Virginia’s second-largest not-for-profit health network, Vandalia Health operates over 190 outpatient locations across 70 specialties, with 13,000 employees and more than 2,000 physicians and advanced practice providers. More than 2 million patients were treated across the Vandalia Health Network in 2024.
Since joining Vandalia Health, Davis Health System has expanded stroke care, improved emergency department operations, and introduced cardiology and specialty telemedicine programs to provide rural patients with expert care close to home. Davis Medical Center now offers advanced Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) imaging for early heart disease detection, while Vandalia Health’s Mobile Medical Units bring essential services to underserved communities. Additionally, Vandalia Health’s Institute for Academic Medicine and CAMC Center for Learning & Research provide a strong foundation for medical education and innovation, further strengthening West Virginia’s position in the health care landscape.
