Vandalia Health System proudly marks the one-year anniversary of Davis Health System joining CAMC Health System and Mon Health System as part of its integrated network.
“Davis Health has been an outstanding addition to Vandalia Health,” said David Ramsey, Vandalia Health President & CEO. “Over the past year, we’ve worked together to strengthen local health care and expand services for the communities we serve. This anniversary is not just a celebration of the past year but a commitment to the future of health care in our state.”
Stretching across the Mountain State, Vandalia Health has grown into the second largest not-for-profit health system in West Virginia, with more than 190 outpatient care locations, over 70 specialties, over 13,000 employees, and more than 2,000 doctors and advanced practice providers.
To commemorate the anniversary, Vandalia Health hosted celebrations across Davis Health System’s facilities on Dec. 3. Vandalia Health leadership and staff gathered at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, and Webster Memorial Hospital in Webster Springs to reflect on the partnership’s success and share plans for the future.
The merger has enabled new collaborations and expanded services at all three Davis Health System hospitals, including the expansion of stroke care, enhanced emergency room services and timeliness, cardiology and other specialty telemedicine programs, and Cardiac Computed Tomography now available at Vandalia Health’s Davis Medical Center.
“This partnership demonstrates how a united health system can transform health care access,” said Ron Andro, Senior Vice President Davis Health System, and Chief Administrative Officer, Davis Medical Center. “By combining resources, expertise and a shared commitment to community well-being, we’ve created new opportunities to provide affordable, high-quality care to West Virginians.”
Vandalia Health’s Davis Health System continues to operate as a critical access point for its communities, offering comprehensive services such as oncology care, specialty clinics, long-term care and more. Its alignment with Vandalia Health ensures patients receive the benefits of a statewide health network while maintaining local, personalized care.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone, as our merger with Vandalia Health has allowed us to enhance health care access and quality for rural, underserved communities across West Virginia,” said David Goldberg, President and CEO of Mon Health System and Davis Health System – Vandalia Health Northern Region, and Executive Vice President of Vandalia Health. “Together, we’re leveraging the strengths of this integrated health system to bring expert medical care to those across our region who need it most.”
