West Virginia State Parks has unveiled a new splash pad at Twin Falls Resort State Park, part of a significant $4 million upgrade aimed at enhancing visitor experiences.
“We’re investing in our state parks to make them the best they can be for our families and visitors. The new splash pad at Twin Falls Resort is a fantastic addition that will bring joy and excitement to everyone who visits,” said Governor Jim Justice.
The Lily Pad Splash Park features a variety of water attractions, including a dump cylinder that releases hundreds of gallons of water every five minutes, water blasters, water cannons, and playful splashing frogs. Alongside these features, guests can relax on chaise lounges, enjoy picnic tables, or sit on Adirondack chairs and tables shaded by umbrellas. A small refreshment area offers frozen treats, drinks, snacks, logo apparel, and beach towels.
“We are thrilled to offer this exciting new feature at Twin Falls Resort and provide families with a fun and refreshing way to enjoy this beautiful park. It’s a testament to our commitment to enhancing visitor experiences and making our state parks world-class destinations for everyone to enjoy,” according to Dillard Price, Acting Chief of West Virginia State Parks.
The splash pad operates Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with private party bookings available from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission costs $6 per child, who may bring one accompanying adult free of charge. Private parties can be booked for $200, and season passes are also available.
This splash pad was a key feature of the bond project, which also included the recent rebuilding of the Twin Falls Resort Pro Shop. Additionally, ongoing developments at Twin Falls Resort include the construction of a climbing wall and the relocation of the park’s nature center, alongside enhancements to the Falls Trail, including a new boardwalk.
