WorkForce West Virginia to host Statewide Virtual Job Fair on July 3

BUCKHANNON — WorkForce West Virginia has announced the upcoming date for its next Statewide Virtual Job Fair. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 3, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m., inviting both employers and job seekers to participate.

“We invite all West Virginia job seekers and employers to register now for our free Statewide Virtual Job Fair on July 3,” said Scott Adkins, Acting Commissioner of WorkForce West Virginia. “These online job fairs provide job seekers here in the Mountain State an opportunity to connect with employers, learn more about available opportunities and take the next step in their careers. Whether you’re looking for seasonal employment, a recent graduate ready to start your career, or ready for a complete career change, you can find your next step here.”

Both employers and job seekers are required to register for the event. Job seekers can register here.

“WorkForce West Virginia’s Statewide Virtual Job Fairs continue to see monumental success in pairing West Virginia employers with qualified job seekers,” said James Bailey, Secretary of the WV Department of Commerce. “The June 2024 event saw a record 1,145 job seekers register to connect with more than 100 employers from various industries across the state.”

During the event, job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and ensure their background is calm and clutter-free. The Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal offers a Job Seeker Training video, a list of participating employers, and channels for attendees to register and log in.

New employers registering for the first time will create a “Virtual Booth” to connect with job seekers. This booth will remain available for subsequent job fairs. Employers can register here for the July 3 event.
