WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital and West Virginia Wesleyan College hold Gala after 10-year hiatus

BUCKHANNON, WV – WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital and West Virginia Wesleyan College held “An Evening of Mardi Gras Magic” Gala on Friday, March 22, after a ten-year hiatus.  It was hosted by Skip and Donna Gjolberg, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Dr. James Moore, President of Wesleyan.

Guests were treated to a Cajun Cocktail Reception, complete with drinks, appetizers, live jazz music from the Boilermaker Jazz Band, and the opportunity to get professional photographs taken by Renée Preston Photography.  This was followed by a Mardi Gras Parade to the ballroom, where there was a welcome, dinner, and live auction.  A silent auction was also held throughout the evening.  The night ended with guests on the dance floor enjoying another live performance by the Boilermaker Jazz Band.

Proceeds from the evening benefit St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation whose efforts support many needs throughout the hospital.  Proceeds also support Wesleyan’s replacement of bleachers in the Rockefeller gymnasium which allow varsity athletic contests, intramurals, ceremonies, and other campus and community functions to occur.

A special thank you to the over 200 guests in attendance, the generous sponsors, as well as those who donated to the live and silent auctions. It was a night to remember by all.
